With Malt
With our standard equipment we offer both small sample size of 500 g and a large bulk sample of 8 kilograms. Each tank or kiln can accommodate either 4 times 500 g, which in the case of the steep/germinator is automatically turned, or a bulk sample of 8 kilograms, which is turned manually. Turning does not occur in the kiln. So, in the four-tank steep/germinator up to 16 samples of 500 g each is possible, or one sample of 32 kilograms spread over the four tanks.
Loaded to Kiln
Whichever sample size is being used, the green malt is transferred from the steep/germinator to the kiln, allowing the next set of samples to begin the steeping process.
